Monday, October 15, we will be gathering at First Baptist Church Pine Castle to participate in our 142nd Annual Celebration of the Greater Orlando Baptist Association! What a tremendous opportunity for you and your church family to hear Dr. Frank Page our President and CEO of the Executive Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention. This is an opportunity that you and your church family just do not want to miss. May I take this moment to personally invite you to celebrate with us for a tremendous evening of music and preaching? We want you to be part of this significant evening with a proven leader in our denomination. Your church leaders ought to be present and your staff ought to make every effort to hear where we are going as a convention.

Would you and your church join us in an outreach project to provide medical First Aid Kits for our Mission Haiti Mission Project? We are asking every one coming to the evening event to bring a First Aid Kit for moms in Haiti. These kits will be given out to our GOBA churches going to Haiti on mission trips so they might show the love of Jesus to mothers all across Haiti in a tangible way. The date we have asked our churches to collect their First Aid Kits is August 1, through October 14, 2012. Click here
This year, we are adding 44 new church plants to our Association. Thirty-three of these churches were started by Grace Fellowship of West Palm Beach. Grace Fellowship is a church planting center, emphasizing the multiplication of disciples, small groups, leaders, and churches. We anticipate that most of our future church planting efforts will be accomplished by local churches that have committed to becoming church planting centers. In September, 2012, we will begin a cohort of 8 local church leaders who are working towards developing church planting centers.

ARE YOU READY TO CHALLENGE THE NORM?
Most of us approach life based upon childhood influences or what popular culture says is normal. When we understand the eternal purpose and role God has for our lives, it changes everything. In this book, authors Rodney and Michelle Gage will challenge you to reTHINK life from God’s perspective by looking at seven key areas of life. Click here to learn more.
Also, our FREE resources for churches will be available by the end of next month. As you will see on our site, we have a number of resources that churches can use and benefit from to coincide with the book through our Rethink Life Experiment. It is a church wide campaign for churches. It is our prayer that churches will take full advantage of these resources that have proven to be very impactful here at our own church.
Rodney and Michelle are the founders of Fellowship Church in Orlando Florida. Before starting the church in 2001, Rodney traveled across America speaking in churches, schools and conferences as a sought after youth speaker. Michelle, a former Miss Oklahoma contestant and vocalist has used her talents to influence people of all ages. Today, Michelle uses her platform to inspire women and girls to live different than the norm through her “reThink Pink” Conferences. Rodney is a graduate of Liberty University and Southwestern Seminary and Michelle is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University. Rodney and Michelle have three children and live in Orlando, Florida. Church Planting Centers are local churches who have made a serious commitment to evangelism, disciple-making, leadership development, mission sending and church planting. These churches are focusing on multiplication at all levels. Every believer in Christ is encouraged to be a part of the church's disciple-making process. Every disciple is encourage to be a trainer of trainers. Every leader knows that his or her role is to develop other leaders. Every small group or class is encouraged to reproduce and multiply. These churches have a vision for reaching their city and measure success by community transformation.
The GOBA Church Planting Centers Cohort is a group of church leaders who meet together monthly to share ideas, encourage one another, and pray for each other's churches to be successful in fulfilling Acts 1:8. More information about the objectives of the monthly meetings is included here. If your church is interested in becoming a church planting center and/or joining the cohort, please contact Mark Weible at the GOBA office. Click here for schedule and more information.
This is a unique time when you can touch the unchurched, de-churched, and non-churched individual who during this time of year seeks a touch from the Incarnational One. Let me suggest that we learn how to Rock Around the Clock During Christmas Eve Services! Click here for several great resources for your church to download.

The purpose of G.O.A.L. is to develop leaders who reproduce leaders by encouraging development in the following areas:
The leader's personal life
The leader’s relational style
The leader’s ability to build an effective team
The leader’s ability to lead organizationally
This is done through Greater Orlando Adventures in Leadership (GOAL), and through other appropriate seminar and conference venues. Our participants are asked to invest a minimum of two years of personal ministry development and growth in leadership development through the Greater Orlando Baptist Association.
Have you ever witnessed a weak-declining work, which was teetering on the threshold of disbandment? A new leader arrives and suddenly everything begins to change dramatically. Perhaps you have been part of such an experience. You may have had little hope for the survival of the organization. Then along came a leader who rallied God’s people into action. To many other's astonishment, a different church was being rebirthed. Results that previous leaders had failed to achieve in ten years were now being accomplished through the new leader in a matter of months. Click here for more.
